Dr. Ivan Abdouch, an Omaha native, spent 10 years in private practice in Papillion and 32 years at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He finished his career as an associate professor at UNMC before retiring. In 1988 he began 30 years of volunteer service as medical director for the Omaha Gender Identity Team, a multidisciplinary group, including board certified psychiatry, psychology, social services and various allied health professionals.
